VisiProtect is a sterile, single use viscoelastic solution of highly purified hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC 2%) solution.
- VisiProtect is introduced onto the surface of the eye to increase comfort during ophthalmic procedures.
- This viscous liquid coats the corneal epithelium protecting it from exposure to corneal trauma and abrasions, as well as keeping the eye surface hydrated for longer and thereby reducing the amount of balanced salt solution (BSS) used.
- VisiProtect can also be used as a hydrating agent for eyes undergoing ophthalmic lens examinations and procedures, due to its excellent transparency and its ability to keep the patients’ eyes comfortable while still allowing for accurate measurements to be taken.
Indications:
- Ocular surgeries
- Surgeries performed under general anaesthesia
- Relieves dryness and irritation during surgery
- Hydration of the eye during ophthalmic lens examinations
- Eye irritation caused by chemical or mechanical irritants
- Protect against corneal abrasions

- VisiProtect is supplied prefilled in a glass syringe to a volume of 2 ml
- One box of VisiProtect contains a single syringe and one sterile cannula for single use
